The Inreach/Outreach Committee works on communication, coordination and caring/comfort projects within the congregation and for outside groups/organizations, as well as informational items for visitors.
Inreach projects for Epiphany members throughout the year include: greeting cards; college/military boxes; home-bound members (i.e. visits/calls, meals as needed, thinking of you gift bags, luncheons and church services for Easter and Advent, rides to appointments); frozen meals for individuals who may need help; Care Team Contacts to ensure continued communications and contact with members; Epiphany Courier Service to assist with deliveries as needed; Epiphany Drivers to assist with rides to appointments; help from Epiphany kids with cards and projects; and Welcome Center information (Welcome Pamphlet and List of Upcoming Events and Weekly/Monthly Activities).
Outreach projects for community groups include: participation in live nativity for Christkindlemarkt sponsored by Lower Paxton Township; hosting Kindred place for luncheon and church service; appreciation/recognition events for firefighters, police and EMS (will hold future event for teachers and support staff); and meals for volunteers who assist at a local cemetery project.
We meet the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. (in-person or via Zoom).
Many volunteers in addition to our committee members provide these services. If anyone is interested in joining this committee, please get in touch with Lisa Demko (717-903-4938 or ldemko@apscuf.org).
